Ford has always been a leader in automobile and truck design, and as a result, many collectors want Fords in their collection. Some even have entire collections made of Ford model cars. Many of the same Ford automobiles that are the most collectible in actual life are the same ones that are collectible in tiny sizes: the Ford Mustang in all its various incarnations, the Ford Torino, the Ford Maverick, and the Ford Pinto.
Hot Wheels designed a special series of Fords and many of the tiny cars, including a custom Mustang, have become highly collectible. Ford model trucks are also collectible, and are available everywhere on the market and on the internet today. Vintage trucks like a Ford Model T with custom body parts or vintage Ford Woody trucks from the 1930s are available, as are more modern vehicles like the Ford F350 Dualite Pickup. In the early 1900s,
Ford made many police and service vehicles, and vintage models of these cars and trucks or car-truck hybrids are popular with many collectors. Many monster-style trucks with oversized tires and different moving parts are also on the market today. It's smart to start out with plastic cars that snap together, especially for young collectors, and then move up to glue-together models. Some model truck kits also come with battery packs that users can install and then run their trucks with remote controls or on specially sized tracks.
